For others, please note that this might indicate a technical problem that the site needs to resolve.
EDIT: the "tokens sold" indicator on the site is remaining at 38,918 while the number of contributors has increased. This also happened during my purchase. To me this indicates that something is going wrong technically. I will publish a final update here once my order issue has been resolved.
EDIT2: resolution is ongoing, it's basically certain that it is a technical problem, but I've been assured all transactions are queued and will be resent if they don't go through right away (it could possibly be a problem with the API endpoint that the site uses for sending, and the devs can switch this over in case of problems). So I'm not afraid of any funds loss, the response has been very professional so far..
