I said I was a big fan of crypto. Everyone gasped like I just said I worship the devil haha.
One guy told me, "oh well, you are young, you can be wreckless. There's just no use case for any of it." I'm 30M btw.
Say what? Might possibly be one of the most insulting things ever said to me.
I came to find out, they literally only know about Bitcoin and it being a currency. That's it. I blew my co-workers mind that anything existed like Ripple!! He wanted to attack more but just couldn't, because it wasn't just a currency and that's it.
These are 45-55 year old software developers. We clearly have not gotten this tech out there to people yet. All they know is BITCOIN BITCOIN BITCOIN..and of course the big bubble crash of 2018...sad really.
TLDR: 45-55 year old software developers pretty much saying, "Crypto and blockchain have no use cases." while at the same time asking..."What is an altcoin?... Ripple? Uh?"
