I've just released v1.8.0 after staying up all night finishing the update after watching Josh Ellithorpe's Privacy of Wallets Bitcoin Cash City talk.
v1.8.0 is titled "The Privacy Update". This update enables and/or adds many privacy and anonymity protections for users.
Part of v1.7.9 is tied to this update. v1.7.9 changed some of the UI so I could enable BIP32 support for Crescent Cash. (SLP wallet is still single address).
Increases bloom filter false positive rate. This gives a privacy edge to the user.
Adds Tor support. This increases anonymity of the user. Note: Some portions of the wallet still do not utilize Tor, but this is being worked on.
Adds option to encrypt wallet. This increases the user's privacy. Enabling this will prompt you for a password. When starting up the wallet later on, you will be prompted to enter your password to decrypt the wallet. The wallet will simply not be usable if you do not enter the correct password.
I still have some work to do, but this is the first step in improving privacy of Crescent Cash!
