After having read Amaury's comments here and here etc., about how Bitcoin Cash's greatest threat is simply not having enough help, is there any way we as a community could create a go-fund me account or something for another full time helper/developer? Even just $100,000 would be enough to hire a decent second hand. Perhaps it has been tried and I am just out of the loop. But it pains me to see Amaury talk about these things and it not get the attention it deserves. These are critically important issues. They should be towards the top of the priority list, along with all the other awesome positive things that have been going on in BCH lately.
I know for sure I would donate a few hundred dollars of my own money towards this. I would even match someone else. The hiring and selection of the developer would have to be orchestrated by someone like Amuary, so that the resources raised indeed went exactly where they were needed, and used best. I don't want to screw the rhythm of anything up with this post, but I just felt the urge to write it.
Edit: I do not want another Blockstream funding type thing either. It should be community raised funds or something. The thought of another entity like Blockstream controlling/dictating/heavily influencing the direction of BCH scares me more than perhaps anything.
