If you are transferring crypto from your wallet to exchange, or vise-versa, always triple check that the deposit address and withdrawal addresses are correct before you hit send. Also, get in the habit of clearing your clipboard of saved addresses.
I recall a post a few years ago where a redditor lost a large sum of crypto because somehow there was an extra letter or number in the deposit address he was sending it to.
Furthermore, there is phone-specific clipboard malware that can sit in idle on your phone, wait until you copy a deposit address, and then paste theirs instead of yours so that when you send the funds, you're actually funding the scammers wallet instead of yours...
I know this sentiment has bounced around this sub for quite a while, but seeing the huge influx of newcomers, I really want to make sure that nobody gets screwed over by something that's extremely easy to overlook.
