What modern version of a global credit union has Ethereum created?

Hey All,

One thing many people in poorer areas including myself have benefited from is credit unions. The idea being is giving people access to credit for low interest after contributing some money to the union.

Ethereum seems perfect for this but when I look this up I seem to have lots of esoteric versions of this I do not understand. This is not a criticism but a failing on my part.

What is the best ethereum credit union to put my coins in or a version of this?
