3 weeks ago the IF published an RFC that, among other things, specified native tokens to be added on Layer 1 (in case you missed it, here is the link). However, currently this protocol only allows one type of token, where you specify the supply upon creation and it can't be changed:
For now, only token scheme 0 is supported. Additional token schemes will be designed iteratively while doing the testnet implementation.
What options would you desire to control the supply of your own tokens directly on Layer 1? I thought about some simple inflation (supply can be increased by x% or x tokens after a certain time), but I think there are more useful options I didn't thought of yet.
