14% of Americans and 3.9% of the Global Population Own or Use Cryptocurrency

So, according to GOBankingRates more than 21.2 million adults, or about 14% of the U.S population, own cryptocurrency. This is huge, yet there is so much room for growth.

We know that there is a lot of FUD coming from the East, however there are more than 160 million users in asia, which is incredibly high. There are a lot of "we don't need em" comments but we actually do. A loss of 160 out of 300 million (53%) users would mean a gigantic leap backwards for adoption.

The moral of the story is that mass adoption is among us, however we are still very early. With more and more countries looking to adopt bitcoin, we are taking baby steps towards a better future for all of us.
