21 million isnt very many.
Just a thought.
London - 8.4 million people.
Hong Kong - 7.4 million people.
New York - 9 million people.
So that's 24.5 million people. So everyone tries to get just 1BTC and they can't. Even if all those ever created where available, they can't. And that's just 3 big cities.
In the UK there are approximately 33.4 million cars, the average price of a car is Β£17k (0.5BTC). So if everyone who had a car tried to buy just half a bitcoin we would need 16.7M BTC available. That's everything mined to date minus the lost coins.
That's all. Just the more you think 21M divided by the world it really gets very very scarce indeed.
Other things with more supply... Rolex. There are 25+ million Rolex watches every made and they make more at over 1M per year, while bitcoins are made at 328k per year and soon to be only 164k per year.
