A 2010 crypto story during college

Back in October-November 2010 Bitcoin was around 0.20 USD each... let that sink in. For a college project back in late 2010 the task was to demonstrate creative ways the internet can be used similar to PayPal or BitTorrent etc... to use one of those back in the day as a group project in college. We demonstrated that there are up and coming alternatives to traditional financial markets. And it was a demonstration of digital currency at work. None wanted to pay for it so we a group of 5 business economic students looked up on the internet and stumbled upon Bitcoin CAPTCHA faucets. collected CAPTCHA bitcoin for a week straight. We had around 300 Bitcoins ~. We ordered a digital key for a collection of economic studies books. One Captcha was giving 5 BTC a day or something. It was all gone and wasted none wrote down the 12 words it was all done on the school PCs which were erased at the end of every semester. None of us knew anything about blockchain or crypto till at least 2012-2013. we were fools like champanzes playing in a laboratory unaware what was in our hands.

Now we hoard crypto and remind ourselves with a text once in a while that we r still early and its okay we are alive lol. I had 40 BTC, lasted 2 weeks before we used/deleted those wallets. Probably the richest i'll ever be. Permanently lost Bitcoins xD

Tl;dr group of students bought 300 BTC for a college project. Purchased books online and never stored the wallets. They deleted their wallets after the project is done and never recovered them again.
