a bit of a stupid question on how to use Monero properly?

It is a little bit of a stupid questions so apologies for that

So, I’ve stumbled across Monero in order to receive Money Anonymously.

I've heard that it's not traceable in any way. Either the sender or the recipient can be tracked.

Does it mean I can simply give my Monero address (from Binance for example) to someone, and they can't find out who this address is from?

Or is the address itself traceable but from outside nobody without the addresses can trace the transactions back to a certain wallet?
