A bitcoin story… what if…

What if all the best bitcoin theories are true. Bitcoin turns out to be something independent, something the governments and institutions can’t stop….just raw evolution. Bitcoin turns out to be an environmentally response, a natural progression in the age of the rising computer power.

In the not so distant future, when you and I are old and grey, bitcoin will have naturally became the ledger of choice for the record of value. I say naturally, but the years between now and then will have been marred with violence. Just the resources alone needed to operate the blockchain cause huge debates on the ethics of the whole thing. The world, sadly, willl have been fractured during the evolving. But it doesn’t stop. Bitcoin never stops. Reason being, it’s just better than the alternative. A more evolved alternative. It’s better at being the record of value than any government system of the past. It turns out bitcoin is not something we created, but more of an expressed mutation of the digitized human evolution. The transition to bitcoin has been marred with violence. Wars have been fought over bitcoin, just like the past wars for other commodities. But the reason for its success will be because of the ones who hold on for dear life, especially the whales. The bitcoin whales never sell, some of the oldest wallets, the most anonymous wallets, they never sell. At first it seemed like the whales would cause bitcoin to fail. Before the wars and adaptation, the governments and big institutions fail to get the whales to budge. This is a concern for the people in power. They need the control, they can’t expose their wealth to a system that they ultimately can’t control. The price swings from millions to thousands… but it doesn’t stop and the whales just hodl. Eventually governments adapt, wars are fought, wallets with whole coins becomes a rarity, all of the price algorithms apply a constant value to the whales. People practically forget about the whales, but bitcoin would have never survived without them and without the ones that would just never sell.

So here we are, in the not so distant future, old and gray. Not much has changed. People and governments are still wicked and greedy, but now it’s just that we fight over bitcoin. Power structures were flipped upside down, paradigm shifts, redistributions… etc.. it all happened. Nothing really changed though.

Then as you lie in your government mandated suicide pod at the ripe old age of 175, it happens. Like a biblical flood washing the world indiscriminately clean, the whales awaken.
