A few questions about the cons of blockchain

I have a few genuine questions about blockchain/crypto that I hope someone can help clarifying.

When I think of how blockchain can help with real-life issues, some of the usually discussed advantages are pretty clear: no need to trust one big central entity, cut out the middle man, no way to tamper with records, transparency, and so on…

However, I always find myself asking: “is this really an advantage?”, especially with regards to 3 aspects:

1) Immutability In some cases, isn’t it good to be able to delete something? From a stupid thing I did/said when I was a teenager, to revenge porn, and a million other things. Also, if someone steals my credit card and uses it, I get my money back. But this can’t be done with crypto, right?

2) Transparency Imagine I get insurance on the blockchain, then records of having bought a home, and many other transactions. Everything can be traced to my wallet, and essentially people can “look” into my bank account, kind of. I feel like a lot of people would never accept this. Wouldn’t it be a big obstacle to mass adoption?

3) Freedom I’ve often heard of decentralized social media. 0% censorship sounds great at first. But wouldn’t it be very bad sometimes? How can a decentralized platform avoid getting filled with terrible content? Imagine if on Reddit anyone could post anything they wanted without filter. Similarly, can’t people just send anything to someone’s wallet, essentially “spamming”? Of course nobody wants censorship, but how can one get to a sweet spot in between dictatorship and anarchy? I have heard of user-based democratic “policing”, but it doesn’t seem very realistic to me.

I suppose as the tech matures, people will find solutions to these problems. But as of now, is anything addressing them?

Again, these are genuine questions. I’m not criticizing, just trying to understand. Is there something I am missing?
