Friendly reminder: the U.S. government's debt is growing by $1T every 100 days. To put things into perspective, a trillion dollars could buy 2.4 million homes at an average buy price of $417k. That's 8.7mm a year, 728k a month and 24,000 homes every day. Per day, the U.S. population grows only by 7,000 while our debt grows by $10B. That's $1.428mm for each new citizen that's born or immigrates to the great US of A.
In the most of simple of terms, what is inflation? Its more money being available to the same number of people. The U.S. population is only growing at 0.5% a year but my napkin math is showing our debt currently growing at a rate of around 10%.
Nothing to worry about though, the future is BRRrrrrright! /s
