A layer of centralized relayers to enable fiat payments

We have an app where users can ask anything to an expert. The platform is deployed on polygon blockchain, and we have some traction too. We have to use a blockchain because we don't want to be an intermediary between parties who are exchanging value while maintaining an immutable social reputation on Blockchain - we record queries sent, queries received, Matic spent etc. We have been receiving many requests to enable fiat payments on our platform, i.e, people to pay in fiat and can ask paid queries to experts without getting into crypto.

We built a layer of centralized relayers whose job is to take a signed transaction from the user and push them on the blockchain paying for the transaction fee and any crypto he/she wants to send to the expert as a tip. In return, Users deposit fiat in our account, and on transaction completion, we deduct equivalent fiat from their fiat deposit. We do this fiat to crypto conversion on the fly in the hope that they shouldn't be held accountable by anyone for holding crypto.

I just want to know if this is Legal or illegal. If it's legal, Why nobody hasn't implemented any service like this since this is a very common problem for people in unfriendly crypto countries?
