Every now and then we have leaks of influencers and how much money it costs to have them shill a project on social media. This time, the prices were leaked for 'celebrity influencers' (sorry, I hate the term too) and how much it costs to shill a project on Instagram, Tiktok, or Twitter. According to ZachXBT, this list was leaked by Raichu who has worked with a number of the influencers to promote crypto scams. The list includes some familiar names, like Soulja Boy, Tyga, Cameron Dallas, and Jake Paul. Jake Paul tops the list as he receives $150K or more for a tweet about a project. The names of many on this list make sense. For instance, Soulja Boy was charged by the SEC for promoting crypto scams without providing disclosure of payment. Jake Paul also recently paid a fine for promoting a crypto scam, without disclosure of being paid to do so. The fine was of course too low. It probably goes without saying, but for those who are new here: avoid these people at all cost. Actually, better avoid influencers are altogether, particularly celebrity influencers. They are always paid to promote a project and either do so for scams or at tops, similar to how a lot of famous people started talking about Ethereum at $4k+. [link] [comments] |
