Good morning fellow redditors.
This is just a friendly reminder to everyone - specially the new comers - to be cautious when looking for information, recommendations or general updates about the crypto environment.
It is well known that social media has a big impact when we talk about mostly anything, but in crypto being so tempting and risky, users can fall easily in scams and fake events.
I'm in particular talking about Twitter, which, for the majority I have know in Reddit, we better keep our hands out of there for Crypto related use.
Given the current verified model (Twitter Blue), it is very easy for people to assume that the person posting a tweet about an airdrop, a link to stake with exorbitant APRs or a fake exchange link that can compromise your information, computer or mobile, is a serious person and you can trust him and reality is, they're only trying to steal your money
I've seen a couple of post from redditors saying they were either scammed or affected because they saw the tweeting person had this blue check mark and that this was an indicator that the person or event was legit.
Please always keep in mind that if sounds to good to be truth, most of the times it is a scam.
