A solution to big-tech absorbing our data. Thinking out loud here.

I recently saw a (Smarter Everyday video)[https://youtu.be/KMtrY6lbjcY] and completely agree with Destin that we’re too willing to freely give out our meta data, which is concerning.

I honestly think that this can be done with cryptocurrency. My only issue with crypto at this stage is moving out of proof of work, we’ve lingered for far too long waiting for meaningful applications of crypto and I think this is one of many good ideas.

My simplest way of explaining how this could be done would be by encrypting your movements on the internet via a completely different internet browser built on a blockchain. You’re relying on the blockchain to essentially act as a 2FA authenticator to protect the user from web scrapers or data loggers and free the user of any connections to the pages you browse, thus making it impossible to assign a users digital DNA to the content they view. The work needed to enact these transactions would influence its value. However, I really like (compared to other media platforms) the Reddit ecosystem of rewarding/upvoting/downvoting content. As more users flock to these browsers they should be rewarded with currency or opt to buy into it. Just a thought, I need more time to think about this!

Any thoughts?
