So I've been getting a crap ton of emails saying my metamask and trust wallets didn't merge. And if you get them, know that isn't how the blockchain works. It's an all or nothing. Everyone merged or no one merged. Anyways, I found out this trick today. I don't know if it works with other services than gmail, but it shouldn't be too hard to test. So what you want to do is when you sign up or if you want to change your email to see what is going on. You can put your email+whatever@gmail Like for example, if I wanted to sign up to a random site to get emails about given crypto news, maybe sign up to an exchange, or whatever. Lets say the whatever is abc123. What I would do is something like Note it is best to not reuse the same +whatever. Like the entire point of this is to figure out what is selling off your data or leaking it to spammers. When you get spam email click the following button on the top left after opening the email under the to, if it's the abc123, then you know that site sold your data or leaked your email. Maybe they got hacked. Test it out. If you have gmail, try sending yourself a message using this. If you aren't using gmail, obviously you should seriously test it by sending yourself a message. Like I said, IDK if this works with other email services. And if it does work, then let us know below. Note even if people say it works, test it to make sure. [link] [comments] |
