Advice On Where/How To Buy

I’m 19 and have been watching/ learning about btc for a while but only in the past few months or so do I have the money to begin buying some of my own(and I’ve decided now is the time to start going in, but will likely slowly increase my size over a long time). I know basically nothing about how to go about doing this and definitely need some pointers. EDIT: I’m sort of exaggerating my lack of knowledge but it’s mostly to get a better understanding from more basic and thorough explanations
