Advice Please

Hi guys,

Im 15 and creating a decentralised healthcare platform as a science project for school. Its relatively large for something that I'm building by myself in a span of 2 months. One thing that I have noticed is that when I write data to my smart contracts, there is usually a minute wait between when I approve the transaction.

One solution that I have found is using an L2 sidechain but if I use that I cant say that I'm using ethereum. Is there a chance that I can create my own L2 sidechain? Can someone please point me in the right direction for doing this

Edit: Just wondering if it would be too difficult to implement a custom wallet into my fronend? Are there any preexisting javascript based wallets that I could build upon?
