Alex Mashinsky, Head of Celsius Scam, Served Papers Today by New York County Court

About 12 hours ago there was notice that Alex Mashinksy was served his civil papers by the state of New York. Finally some of us who lost our money in Celsius are seeing the system make a move after almost a year.

In the words of the County of New York, “He engaged in a scheme to defraud hundreds of thousands of investors.” He blatantly lied to the face of investors, telling people to deposit as much as possible up to the day of the bankruptcy. Even when he knew they were going under he tweeted everything is fine and told people to deposit more knowing they would lose it all shortly after. Such a scumbag.

These papers officially mean that someone (in this case the state of NY) has been served noticed of legal proceedings against you. I wish I was there when the server gave it to him. Although this is not the end of the case, just the beginning actually it does put us a step in the right direction as a community by bringing Alex Mashinksy closer to being put behind bars.

I would also like to thank the processor who served him papers, it must have been great to see his face when you said “you’ve been served” after asking for his name.
