Almost everyone around me thinks that crypto is a scam.

So I’ve been asking around about what people think about crypto. I’ve been asking friends, family and colleagues. To my surprise almost everyone thinks it’s a scam.

I’ve tried to explain what crypto does and eventually can do but most don’t want to hear it. The only narrative they believe is that crypto is destroying the environment, that it’s not actually a legit currency and it’s just a scheme to steal your money.

They haven’t really researched crypto, they only received info through media.

I never thought that the fud was this bad, pretty sad really.

Have any of you experienced this when trying to talk about it? Genuinely curious.
