So after marking up my metal plate with my seed phrase I then took a pic of it with my iPhone. This was so I could compare it against my hand written card to confirm all the words were correct. I then deleted and then permanently deleted the pics. I’ve since found out that this pics can be recovered by using third party apps on a pc. I guess I would have to buy a new ledger and transfer my BTC to the new one? Is this an overkill?
Edit: I’ve since discovered that a permanently deleted pic from an iPhone is impossible to recover. The third party apps are basically scams that don’t work. If it’s not on iCloud then the pic is gone.
In saying all this I’ve ordered a new Trezor One, apparently potentially safer than Ledger.
