Well, what everyone expected happened. Most of the Gen 2 collections have been bought up and this has happened very quickly. What I think is a big factor is that many of the same people bought the same NFTs for example (Cosmic Abyss #1, ...#2, ...#6). 3 same NFTs but just a different number. I personally don't think this has been handled well by Reddit. Some accounts were able to buy 20-40 NFTs and only then their card was blocked with the reason of fraud (that's what I heard from people anyway). They can also add a check to an account if its older like 2 months and a minimum of karma.
<= I know this is not a good solution for accounts that don't have that karma but are active, just lurking. Reddit probably has its ways to see if an account is active even if it doesn't comment or post. I know this doesn't eliminate bots or people creating other accounts but it will eliminate a huge % amount and thats a step to success. If you know solutions, please let me know!
I also think the collection was going to have more variety of unique owners if there was a cap on it. It is indeed not always true if it says a low unique owner number that it is so because some collections have 3 types of NFTs in the same collection and if one person buys each 1 of those, that also plays a role.
What I mean by 'same type' => max 3 'Cosmic Abyss' or max 3 'The Suns' per account.
Anyways, what do you guys think about this and Reddit, fix your payment methods and accept moons!
