Anyone else sick of ‘join the doge coin movement’ ads ?

Ok I expect to see ads for crypto in my social apps thanks to cookies and all those wonderful trackers but the amount of ‘don’t miss the opportunity’ style ads is infuriating.

Also I’ve noticed my friends keep getting these ads now who aren’t in crypto subs etc (that I know of) are these ads also just targeted at 20-30 year olds in general.

The tone of them is annoying, it plays on the GME style FOMO and looking at some which lean heavily into memes it’s almost like they are suggesting that Crypto investment is a fun, silly Pastime with nothing but memes and no consequences. While we all know the truth is more pain related at times !

Rant over, now back to other social media and even other subreddits where the ads will tell me I’m going to the moon if I invest in meme coin x
