In general, it's not a good idea to gift, if the posts here are anything to go by.
I've only ever gifted crypto once. During the bull run, I realized my teen nephew was dabbling so I gifted him small amounts of various coins.
The good: he was ecstatic. The best gift I gave going by his reaction and enthusiasm. It's exciting having a wallet with funds you control, even if the amount is small.
The bad: I enjoyed crypto discussion with the guy, but it would end with me ensuring he doesn't get scammed, and explaining there is no sure yield/return in crypto or any investing for that matter (facepalm).
This year I'm planning to gift some crypto (in defi) that will generate tiny passive income. To some tech-oriented relative bros. Let's see.
Anyone else gifted crypto?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone in cryptoland!
