I just saw theres a new version available (current 25, latest 27). I went to download it but the system requirements of shot up a lot. I think v25 only requires High Sierra or possibly El Capitan. But 27 requires Big Sur or newer!
It's a real hassle because that cuts off every Mac older than about 2014. And sure, I have computers newer than that. But I'm not going to run the full wallet on my daily use computer. I'm going to stick it on a dedicated machine thats good and isolated. Just perfect job for an OLD computer. I currently run the wallet on a 2012 Mac mini. More than enough CPU, more than enough memory, can easily handle the computational task. But it can't run the newest bitcoin wallet because it requires a newer OS than the machine supports. Maybe its a sign that I should dump my bitcoin now. Take the money and run. Except I actually sell advertising and some people pay with bitcoin, so it will be a problem not being able to do that anymore. Hmm.
