The proposal had requested the foundation return 700M tokens as a "symbolic gesture to demonstrate that the governance holders ultimately control the DAO, not the Arbitrum service provider nor the Foundation."
Being that it was rejected, I'm assuming most of the community was fine with this transfer. The proposed reason (quote above) seems like something any governed coin community would believe is a good reason. It makes me wonder why the community didn't approve this proposal, and create a new proposal to make the 700M transfer with community approval.
I'm curious, what do ARB holders think about this development? Has it shaken your belief in the coins governance model, or the foundation?
