Maybe rich is pushing it but a lot of people have goals to retire on cryptocurrency alone according to a lot of the comments I am reading. But what do you guys consider retirement money? I put thousands into this game and I'm really not expecting to walk away with more than a quarter of a million, maybe half a million if I am lucky. Unless you have put in 50+ thousand dollars I dont think retirement is very likely in this space, unless you plan on holding for 25-50 years which would be a lot of pressure.
So how are so many of you coming to the conclusion that you will retire on crypto alone? A bit off topic, but I am also seeing people referring to crypto as their only chance to financial independence, why? I've had shitty jobs and finally work in IT and the pay still isn't that great. But I have 2 years until I complete my degree and I am confident that most of my income will come from having a career. Have people given up on the traditional means of learning new skills and getting better paying jobs that can use those skills? And for those that can't afford college I still know plenty of 20 something year olds that went into trades and make 50-120k a year.
This post kind of went into a direction but sometimes I feel like people on this sub depend to much on crypto. There are other ways to improve your financial situation.
