I'm constantly surprised by what attracts most attention on this sub, which are posts like "when are the bulls coming", "where is the bottom", "price predictions"...
Even posts about alt coins and smaller projects inevitably fall into "buying as much as possible now, it's going to pump soon". Is everyone here just looking to buy and sell crypto for some "easy money"?
In my opinion, blockchain is an amazing technology and decentralized systems have a real potential to improve society and well being. Some blockchain projects have real interesting ideas and real world use-cases.
To be clear, I am interested in making money buying crypto now to hodl as it becomes more wide spread and used by the masses. But I am more interested in learning about the tech, the projects, how it works, what it can become...
I think, best case scenario is not to go 100x on some obscure alt coin. But it's to be ahead of most people by acquiring useful knowledge for the future.
Think like learning web dev in the 90s. You would have been an extremely valuable resource to almost any company in the late 2000s till now. You could have built many successful websites for yourself over the years...
Am I the only one here thinking like this? Is everyone here just trying to buy the next puppy related coin for 10000x returns? Are the techies just not as vocal? Am I maybe just in the wrong sub?
Genuinely trying to understand the overall sentiment here.
