Are you smarter than us and keep your crypto on an exchange?

There are many many many people that still store their crypto on an exchange despite the constant advice to move it to a wallet that you control.

Some people do it because they are lazy, some do it for staking rewards, and some due it because they are smarter than the people that advise them to take their crypto of an exchange and “know” there isn’t a chance their exchange will fail.

If you are one of the people that are smarter than us here at r/cc, do this one thing.

Test the speed of your exchanges withdrawal mechanisms. At the same time send an ACH, send a wire, and any other mechanism that they allow. See which one is fastest.

You may become like the FTX US holders who were in a race against time to see who could withdrawal their funds before FTX halted withdrawals. Often a wire is fastest, but that is not true with all exchanges. Spend the $15 and find out.

Also, take your crypto off of an exchange, but if you haven’t done it yet, I doubt you will do it now.
