As the multichain world becomes a regular part of our daily crypto-economic activities, having reliable bridges across networks will only grow in importance. That is why Connext, one of the leading interoperability protocols live today, just launched its integration of Gelato’s industry-leading execution network to automate the fulfillment of cross-chain token transfers across Polygon, Fantom, BSC, and AVAX.
By relaying transactions across multiple chains using one API, Gelato is increasing the scalability, dependability, and efficiency of Connext while ensuring that transactions get executed in a more decentralized fashion. This enables Connext to provide an even more user-friendly and robust bridging experience to their users going forward.
The Problem
Running a reliable transaction relay infrastructure on one network like Ethereum is already a very complex task, however having such a system work on 5 different networks simultaneously while having to deal with fast block times, unstable RPCs, stuck transactions, and deep reorg quickly become unmanageable without a dedicated team only dealing with this particular issue.
The Solution
For this, Gelato created its “Multichain Relay API’’ which enables projects like Connext to use Gelato’s proven infrastructure to easily and reliably get transactions mined across the most widely adopted public blockchains in Web3.
“Integrating the Gelato’s Multichain Relay API in our User SDK greatly improves the UX of our users, as they don’t have to send transactions anymore on the chain which should receive their funds. We plan to further integrate Gelato deeper into our Router client to ensure Connext scales nicely with its growing demand to fulfill its vision of becoming the go-to protocol to bridge assets and contract calls across all EMV-compatible chains.” — Arjun Bhuptani, Founder and CEO of Connext
“Bridges are one the most important building blocks that will enable the upcoming multichain crypto universe. Connext is one of the pioneers in this area which has a proven track record of shipping one of the most advanced bridging protocols to this date. Having Connext choose to partner with Gelato in order to make sure transactions always get mined reliably and in time on all different blockchains is a clear sign that the Multichain universe is here to stay and we are still only at the very beginning! We are excited to see Connext growth continue in the upcoming months ahead.” — Daniel Cabrera, Legendary Member of Gelato Network
In the future, expect deeper collaborations between Connext and Gelato as the needs for cross-chain interoperability expand.
About Connext
Connext is the leading protocol for fast, fully noncustodial transfers and contract calls between EVM-compatible chains. Anyone can use Connext to send transactions of value or calldata across chains and rollups. Yet, unlike the majority of other interoperability systems, Connext enables these abilities without introducing any new trust assumptions or external validators. Through the use of cross-chain focused liquidity providers called routers, Connext is able to facilitate cross-chain swaps and relay calldata across chains without a hitch.
