Basing hype for a project solely on one individual, however connected or charismatic, seems like a bad idea.

There are many prominent projects in this space, that although may have other potential merits or unique operations and niche goals, are largely hyped by their investors due to the existence and discourse of one individual. As someone who’s passionately followed the crypto world for six years now, I’m noticing that I have developed a natural aversion to these projects out of principle. Given the vast possibilities for economic and technological evolution from further blockchain integration, it feels like a backward step into “old world” politic, where we have faith in the person, rather than solely the merits of the project itself.
