Brand new to crypto here and currently in the studying phase. I've been diving into Ethereum and learning about the new concepts for Ethereum 2.0 (sharding, L2, etc.).
Its sounds to me like these layer 2 solutions are the future of Ethereum, solving its biggest problems of speed and gas-fees. Granted I'm an absolute noob, but this to me sounds extremely promising and still early to get in.
Polygon, Loopring, Arbitrum are the three I've seen around. I realize one is an optimistic rollup while the others are ZK. I also understand that in an ideal world there would be multiple ones that make it to common adoption.
What I'm wondering is which are regarded as the 'best'/most promising in the Ethereum community? What are the arguments for the top choices? I'm looking for some long term HODL prospects. Thanks!
