Beginners wallet

I will make it short. I live in Romania but i work on a Cruise Ship so i get paid through a debit card in US . I want to start investing in crypto . What is the best virtual wallet for a person like me ? I do have a Usd and romanian currency bank account . Do i need to also open something like Revolut ? I am super new at this and have no idea what i am doing . I will be leaving Romania to Us tomorrow so i hope to be able to open all these accounts that i need before i leave. Thank you in advance
