We know media loves their click and we know how they love to bait it with false and misleading content. But this is some next level stuff. I hate to use the term FUD as most project only use it to ignore legitimate concerns by investors and traders but I can't find any other world to describe this. News originating from Shanghai based media house went next level with their reporting.

This story was widely circulated especially in Asia. How thy even got a photo of "CZ's body" is beyond me. Forgive me because my Chinese is bad and the translation software is imperfect. The media article reads something like this.

After which, [authorities] decisively chose to shoot, Zhao and his gang could not fight back, and were eventually subdued by the police. Zhao [received] 27 shots to the body and he died on the spot. The incident is currently under further investigation.

I not even saying CZ is innocent but they make him sound like a mafia boss. Where the heck did counts of kidnapping and robbery come from. Did he kidnap user funds? Are they not SAFU?

More than this however there are also less explosive but still misleading stories. There were media reports that CZ as summoned to appear physically in court. In reality, CZ only has to respond and is not required to do so physically.

Another and very significant one is that the SEC has requested to freeze the assets of Binance. Media houses are "conveniently" forgetting to specify these are strictly the assets of Binance US. This is a massive and very important differentiation to make.

The list of allegations against Binance is hella long and hella detailed but that isn't a reason to just make stuff up. In fact, it's all the more important that reporting is accurate.
