I just learned about the news with binance in Ontario, Canada and the UK futures ban a couple days ago and see lots of people asking what's going on. I see @binance via email has suggested that all Ontario residents close their binance accounts by December 31, 2021 but I wanted to see what some of your thoughts are on potential outcomes. I live in Ontario and have kept a decent chunk of my crypto on the exchange to utilize the various investment tools on the app/site. Particularly eth2.0 staking. What happens if I don't close my account by the end of year? Will I get blocked out of access cause my ip shows here or could I use a VPN as a work around? Is this even an issue, will binance do anything? I don't want to take 95% (or whatever the rate of exhcnage may be at the time) of my eth by converting Beth back to Eth to cash out early if I don't absolutely have to take that loss. I'm hoping that it's only recommended due to my governments actions and that they won't actually do anything to restrict my access to the account. Thanks for any feedback or insight.
