Binance Chain Network "Transaction Successful"....but not

Trying to get ETH to BNB to buy other coins is a pain. Maybe I'm making it harder for myself and there is an easier solution. Long story short- I have BNB that I transferred from Binance to the Binance Chain Wallet Extension over the Binance Chain Network. BNB is in there. I am trying to send test transfer from this wallet to my Metamask (with Binance smart chain set up). I have even tried test transfers internally on this wallet extension to the Smart Chain. I get the pop up "Cross Chain Transfer to Binance Smart Chain" but I've read there is no concerns there. I send the test, get a green "Transaction successful" pop up but nothing more. Nothing in transaction history, no changes to account balance, nothing. Anyone have any tips?
