The decentralized blockchain ecosystem Binance Smart Chain has announced that both the Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain will continue together under a new one, the BNB Chain. This makes an attempt to represent their association with the native token (BNB).
Reportedly, BNB now stands for "Build and Build", instead of the abbreviation for Binance Coin. The BNB Chain will focus on building a Web3 infrastructure. Also, it will introduce new and advanced new capabilities in the near future. Under the new name BNB Chain, the chain has in fact become a governance part. The Binance Chain, where staking and voting takes place, has become the BNB Beacon Chain. The Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible, multi-chain-supported Binance Smart Chain simply referred to as BNB Smart Chain is still abbreviated as BSC. In addition, the BNB Chain will bring all its Web3 development under the umbrella of 'MetaFi'. This MetaFi should bring developers and projects from the Metaverse together with GameFi and SocialFi. This should offer advantages for various large-scale projects.
