About a month ago I was listening to the bitcoin standard podcast and the topic was not actually on bitcoin. It was about diet and nutrition. For me, it was the straw that broke the camels back on my narrow mindedness. I was never heavy but in the past year I had gained weight from over indulging on yummy food. I knew I could lose the weight if I wanted to just restrict how much I ate. I never liked restricting though. It has always been an annoying way to lose weight. Well this podcast episode finally made me break down my ideas of what weightloss and nutrition is.
I started eating just meat, vegetables, and fruit and I began drinking whole milk. I wanted to experiment and see what happens. It has completely changed how I feel and I have lost 15 pounds. I have 10 more to lose. Now I'm here completely in disbelief because I feel like I have been lied to my whole life about what is healthy and what is not. I dont get cravings for junk like i used to and my stomach always looks flat now.
My main source of fuel is now fat from the steak I am eating 6 times a week. I cook using butter and coconut oil. I have fish or poultry for dinner and usually a vegetable for a side or potatoes. It is sad because I also know that a lot of people can't afford to eat the way I am eating.
I think bitcoin will help improve this but I wanted to share with my fellow bitcoiners that monetary manipulation has impacted our diets and many other things. Which is ultimately the point of the book the fiat standard. I just want you all to try to be healthier and live long to keep stacking sats and changing the world.
