Question. What's the point in investing in Bitcoin ETF or Fidelity crypto versus a exchange? If the dollar collapses in 20 years, then the Fidelity Crypto and Bitcoin ETF's ware worth nothing, correct? because they aren't real bitcoin to begin with? Versus if I buy real bitcoin from a exchange and stor it in a cold wallet? Then if the dollar colapses in 20 years, i have real bitcoin in my wallet, is that correct?
Am I oversimplifying it, or is it more complicated. From what I've read, Fidelity crypto and the ETF's aren't getting me real crypto. Someone else holds that, and when I sell it, I can only get my US dollars back?
Just trying to understand. Thank you.
