BitcoinOS (Rollup layer for Bitcoin) minting a shitcoin.

I don't know who follows these things, but I figured it was worth bringing to discussion, as I remember Mods and OG's of this sub warning of such things, and a related project "Sovryn" in which, the consensus was that it was basically a money grab, swindling naive Bitcoiners out of their coin.

I've been following Bitcoin Rollups (Alpen, Citrea, BitcoinOS etc...) for some time. It seems Sovryn has been claiming to be developing "BitcoinOS" for around 8 months, and suddenly pivots and says "Actually, Sovryn and BitcoinOS is unrelated and we are minting a new token".

For all intents and purposes; over the last 8 months, Sovryn has been claiming to be developing this project.

I guess my point is; listen to the old heads around here. Projects like this lie, and try to get you to give up your coin for yields and such. Then, when they bleed people and dump their shitcoins, they will try to pump it with good news "we are developing ground breaking Rollups", then when their shitcoin increases in value, they dump on their community, and announce a new shiny shitcoin.

Be careful out there. Bitcoin defi narrative is growing, and there are teams of people out there figuring out ways to take your coin.
