BitcoinVN exchange encourages their own users via email to start a rebellion against all CEX

If you are a customer of Vietnam based exchange BitcoinVN you might have gotten this rebellious email today. There seem to still be a couple of honest exchanges that have their customers well-being at heart.

So far I only have heard a similar message from Kraken. Learn to use the tools to control your own money (which is basically a representation of your life energy and time).

This message is for anyone holding their digital assets on exchanges (Yes, BitcoinVN included.)

Not your keys, not your coins

If you keep your savings on an exchange, and make payments by withdrawing some of it every now and then, then you're using the exchange like a bank.

Don't mistake your exchange account for a wallet. It's someone else's wallet you're using with their permission. This permission can be revoked at any time.
