In an interview with Fox Business, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink says he wants to work with regulators and hear concerns about the recently filed bitcoin spot ETF.
"We have a good track record of working with our regulators and trying to ensure we think through any issues related to each filing," Fink said.
“We want to make crypto more democratized and make it much cheaper for investors.” At the moment, the bid-ask spread for cryptocurrencies is very high, they say.
“Crypto is digital gold and bitcoin is an international asset […] It can represent an asset that people can use as an alternative,” Fink continues.
After BlackRock submitted the Bitcoin spot ETF application, the BTC price rose significantly. Other large money managers, including Fidelity, are also currently trying to register such an ETF.
