Blackrock Trying to Control Crypto Forks

So Blackrock's ETF says that if you invest with them, and a crypto forks, they decide which fork is valid. They also don't guarantee to go with the same fork that everyone in crypto is going with.

Given that they have trillions of dollars worth of assets, that means they can fork a coin they are invested in, and make whatever fork they create the "valid" one. This is in their contract "The Sponsor will ... use its discretion to determine which network should be considered the appropriate network... There is no guarantee the Sponsor will choose the digital asset that is ultimately the most valuable fork..."

The investors just have to ride along with whatever Blackrock's trillions choose to bless. And anyone who doesn't follow Blackrock down the garden path will see the value of their version of the fork lose all the trillions Blackrock had in the original chain.

Any crypto in Blackrock's portfolio is now facing a loaded shotgun. Crypto public is looking for profits. When Blackrock steps into a chain, they can throw literally trillions at it. Chain price goes up. Good. Now Blackrock hires crypto developers and dictates to them what the crypto should look like. Once the fork is developed, put it on mainnet - FORK.

Now retail public has a choice: follow the original, pure chain and watch the value deflate as Blackrock backs their own fork, or follow the (Blackrock) money and stick with the Blackrock fork. Half of retail is going to follow the money.

Perfect. Now Blackrock owns the chain. They don't need to buy a crypto chain. They just need to inflate the value and FORK the chain.
