Blockchain could enable real-time wage payments

Instead of having to wait for archaic “pay periods”, and being at the mercy of time if you are living paycheck to paycheck, you could instead be paid hourly, or even daily upon clocking out. If such a thing were implemented, people could be paid without having to wait for their employer to compensate their already-provided labor.

However, I doubt such a thing would be possible with ACH. Actually Can’t Handle, aka the Automated Clearing House, needs to go. This system only benefits those who control it, and they have a vested interest in making sure ACH continues trudging along on life support. We need to collectively move past big banks and legacy finance, and things that only benefit businesses.

Blockchain and decentralized tech have so much potential to bring about reform and make finance more equitable. This was just one idea I was thinking about but damn do we need fresh ideas.
