Blockchain, the countdown to nothing.

So the 2030s come around, block rewards are dropping for btc. The money cycles are dying down. The scene is starting to fade. Then what? Blockchain needs it's killer dapps to push the technology forward. It needs to move beyond the hype, money and distrust.

But what if it doesn't, what if it dies down and fades away. Just some outdated tech living in the wasteland of the net. Is the technology on a time frame? Just curious to hear your thoughts.
