BNB to BSC

Hello All,

Please can anyone advise. I swapped some BNB last night and it was specified as 1~1. But after the swap, I noticed what I had left in BNB was not 50% of what I started with considering I only applied for a 50% swap. Is there a gas fee for swapping BNB to BSC and where can I find this.

Is there another way to purchase BSC instead of a swap, because if I am told that the reduction was due to gas fee, I will like to consider other options.
