BRAVE(BAT Token Browser): Perspective of a long time user.

All Cryptocurrencies

First of all, for anyone who doesn't know what Brave is...

Brave is a free and open-source web browser developed by Brave Software, Inc. based on the Chromium web browser, which Chrome is based on as well. Brave is a privacy-focused browser, which automatically blocks online advertisements and website trackers in its default settings. Grab It over at https://brave.com if it interests you.

So, a chrome based privacy browser, what's different? You can choose to have interest based ads sent straight to your device's notifications up to 10 times per hour, through which you earn BAT.

So, the browser itself; it's basically chrome. It looks and feels the same, in my experience it tends to be a touch slower, but honestly it's really not noticeable.

The ads; they aren't popups, they're notifications, you can set them to appear however you want, as long as you don't block them, they count towards your BAT earnings, just swipe them away. They tend to come up with more varied browsing, as opposed to sat in a single website, sometimes you'll see alot, other times maybe none or one.

The BAT earnings; they're small, don't expect to download this browser and be rolling in £100's of BAT within a few weeks, that's not how it works, but if you "set it and forget it" and tend to browse alot, there is free money to be had. I've used this for around 6 months now and withdrew £25 in real money into my real bank (ugh I know, it was a proof exercise) whilst losing maybe 0.50p in charges on the way. I also set this up on all the computers at work and have farmed around £9 per computer from 3 computers.

People often worry or are confused about the withdrawal process, here's how it went for me; first of all, you have to hit £25 on mobile or £15 on desktop to withdraw. Once you have enough: click brave rewards > verify wallet > sign up for uphold wallet > go through verification & KYC > BAT automatically gets put into your uphold wallet > convert to XRP on uphold > send to binance > convert to FIAT > withdraw.

Hope this helps anyone who's unsure about the Brave experience, or gets new users into it as I was sceptical at first but patience goes to show it really is free crypto and is easy to use and withdraw.

EDIT: A bit of info; if you have trouble on a website and it's one you trust, turn off brave shield for that website (click button to right of address bar) it should fix any issues you may have.
